The best materials for

A full crown is usually indicated when a tooth had root canal treatment, when a substantial amount of tooth structure has been lost or when a tooth is cracked or broken. We place a crown on a tooth where there is no longer sufficient tooth structure left to place a filling. A bridge spans a space where one or more teeth have been lost in the dental arch. We replace the missing teeth with custom-designed replacement teeth, which are anchored by crowns to existing healthy tooth structure.

Cosmetic dentistry is a blending of art and science. With a focus on esthetic results and using a variety of the latest restorative techniques and materials, we can enhance your smile to give it a more pleasing experience.

Some of the conditions that may be helped by cosmetic dentist are:

Diastemas (spaces between the teeth)
Broken or chipped teeth
Unsightly, stained or washed-out fillings
Cracked or leaking fillings
Permanently stained or discolored teeth
Crooked or poorly shaped teeth

A porcelain veneer is indicated when a portion of the front surface of the tooth needs a “face lift.” Similar to composite bonding, veneers are attached directly to the existing tooth structure. We treat the surface of the tooth with special conditioner to prepare it to receive the veneer. A tooth-coloured liquid bonding material is then applied to the tooth surface, to help the veneer adhere. Veneers are also used to cover stains and close spaces between teeth.

Beautify your smile

Professional Whitening: We provide dentist-guided whitening right here at Paramount Dental. With this hands-on approach, our dentists can use more concentrated whitening agents compared to over-the-counter products. That means whiter teeth in less time. Additionally, we offer options for custom whitening trays you can use at home. For most patients, the combination of a professional in-office treatment followed up with touch-up whitening sessions at home creates the whitest, brightest smiles.

White Spot Treatment
We offer a simple and conservative treatment, called enamel microabrasion and Icon Resin Infiltration, for removing those pesky white spots that can show up on your front teeth.

Routine and continuing care

Regular dental check-ups are foundational preventative care for a lifetime of dental health. The main goals of these appointments are to check for cavities, to assess the health of your gums, and to clean your teeth. Our favorite part of the check-up, however, is getting to help educate and encourage our patients to continue their care at home. When you see us for a check-up, expect to be walked through your x-rays, shown photos of your teeth and gums. Some typical services in our check-ups include:

Digital X-Rays: We use x-rays to gather information about what’s happening below the tooth’s surfaces, to evaluate what’s happening between the teeth, to assess the health of existing fillings, and to rule out abnormalities in the jaw bone. As a bonus, our x-rays are all digital, reducing unnecessary radiation exposure.

Cleanings: We specialize in modern cleanings using ultrasonic cleaning technologies. This is a gentle and effective way to remove calculus and stains compared to traditional dental picks.

Night Guards: We offer night guards to help protect teeth from damage caused by grinding or clenching—which, for many, occurs at night. And if you already have a night guard, we’re happy to clean it for you if you bring it to your check-up.

Get the straight and beautiful smile you’ve always wanted with using custom clear removable aligners.
Consider Invisalign® to get the beautiful straight teeth you have always dreamed of – without metal braces. A complimentary consultation with our team of doctors can help you determine if Invisalign is right for you.

What is it?

Invisalign is a system that uses a personalized series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you are wearing. So, you can smile with ease during and after treatment. Invisalign aligners are made using 3D computer imaging technology and have been proven effective. More than 70% of orthodontics in the Unites States and Canada are certified to treat with Invisalign.

Why would I want it?

Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you don’t have to worry about what you eat or drink during your treatment. No metal wires also means less sitting in your dentist’s chair getting adjusted. Invisalign also offers a way to view your own virtual treatment plan so you can see what your teeth will look like when you’re done with the treatment.

How does it work?

You will wear a set of aligners for approximately two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move slowly but surely week by week, until they have straightened to their final positions. About once every six weeks you will come in for a visit to ensure that you are making the planned progress. Your total treatment time will be around nine to 15 months, and the number of aligners worn during treatment is around 18 and 30, but both numbers vary case to case.

If you lost yours

For those patients who have lost teeth due to periodontal disease or injury, dental implants offer a viable cutting edge option for restoration. Dr. Victor is able to provide a long-lasting solution that helps preserve bone structure, improves speech, and restores satisfaction with your image. During your confidential West Hollywood consultation, he will help decide the best type of dental implant for your goals and needs.

During the last 20 years, dental implants have become a desirable alternative to other methods of replacing missing teeth. Excellent success rates and a range of available options make implants an excellent cosmetic and functional solution. Dr. Van can evaluate your case and tell you if you are a candidate for dental implants.

Structurally, a dental implant is a titanium-based cylinder that replaces the missing tooth root. After a period of time, other parts are placed on the implant to enable Dr. Victor to eventually place a crown (cap) on the implant. Implants can also be used to support full or partial dentures, dramatically improving denture retention and stability.
When compared to fixed bridges and removable dentures supported by other teeth or gum tissue, implants offer numerous advantages:
Since implants are placed in the gum similar to the way a natural tooth is supported, they offer a more realistic and natural look compared to other alternatives.
When a tooth is lost, the supporting bone structure gradually recedes. Placing an implant in that empty space significantly reduces the speed of bone resorption and provides stability for this valuable tissue.

Patients who have experienced removable full or partial dentures know that keeping their dentures in place is always a challenge. Dental implants offer a great improvement to denture retention for all patients. In some cases the denture can be secured to a group of implants with special screws that stabilize the denture completely.
Often the preferred method of replacing a single missing tooth is a bridge. Bridges require extra preparation for the surrounding teeth to ultimately connect 3 or more teeth. This negatively impacts your health by making the task of retaining your teeth more difficult and by often requiring the destruction of existing tooth structure to create room for the new bridge. An implant is mostly an independent unit and does not negatively affect the adjacent teeth.
